NEO-NAZI FACES HATRED CHARGES

   SUNDAY WORLD PICTURE EXCLUSIVE
THIS is the man due in court accused of distributing "far-right" material to "incite hatred", we can reveal.
Gregory Alan Cumming of Knockview Drive, Tandragee, Co Armagh, appeared at Armagh Magistrates Court on Tuesday 8th March charged with a number of offences. But when confronted at his home last week to ask him about his court appearance, he wasn't in a hurry to chat. In fact after we told him who we were he seemed to be in a 'race' to close his front door.
                             SLAMMED
After confirming his identity he slammed his front door without saying another word.
Cummings is alleged to have distributed written material, which was threatening, abusive or insulting, intending to stair up hatred and fear. It is also not the first time he has appeared in court charged with similar offences in Scotland the neo-nazi was charged with spreading hate and also appeared in court on a second charge of a similar nature also concerning hate crimes.
He is further accused of misusing an election communications network by sending a message which was grossly offensive. Prosecutors allege these matters occurred on October 3rd last year. Three days later Cummings is accused of being in possession of threatening, abusive or insulting material with a view to it being displayed, published or distributed and intending it to stair up hatred and cause fear.
At a previous hearing a police officer told Armagh Magistrates Court sitting in Newry that she believed she could connect Cummings to the alleged offences. District Judge Bernie Kelly remarked during that hearing last month: "These are somewhat unusual charges. I've never seen them before."
A prosecuting lawyer explained the case relates to Cummings allegedly putting stickers aligned to "far-right material" in various places.
Judge Kelly replied: "To be fair, I wouldn't say far-right material as it stands would necessarily run foul of legislation, so it has to be a bit more than that... I can only guess, but maybe I should reserve judgement." A defence barrister stated: "I'm very keen to see the evidence." Cummings was remanded on continuing bail. Loyalists have long been involved with far-right extremism with know paramilitaries being recruited from the UVF and UDA being involved with English Nationalist groups such as Combat-18.
