Six men have been charged with a number of offences following a 'public order' incident in a Co Tyrone town on Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to the Coalisland area following a report that a car was in the Stewartstown Road area and contained a number of offensive weapons.
Inspector Hicks said: "At around 12.45pm police received a report that a car was in the Stewartstown Road area of Coalisland with a number of offensive weapons inside. When police located the vehicle a short time later it was found abandoned and no weapons were discovered.
"Officers then observed around 20 people gathering in the area. Officers remained at the scene until the crowd dispersed."
One man, aged 52, has been charged with a number of offences including unlawful assembly and is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on 17th August.
The five other men, aged 21, two aged 26, 37 and 46 have been charged with a number of public order offences, including riotous behaviour. They are all due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on 19th August.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
