Pound-shop Jamie Bryson: DUP 'should go back to electorate once NI Protocol Bill becomes law'

The Legal Eagle and loyalist activist Jamie Bryson has been advising the DUP they need to test support for the Westminster legislation overriding the NI Protocol with the unionist electorate (after the horse has already bolted).

Mr Bryson praised DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson MP as someone who had “stood firm and kept his word” over refusing to re-enter government at Stormont until there were radical changes to the Protocol.

But he said that if the NI Protocol Bill is made law in Parliament then the DUP will have to go back to unionist voters to receive endorsement for the legislative changes to the post-Brexit agreement.

He said: “The DUP went to the electorate for a mandate of no return to power sharing until the Protocol was removed. They, along with the TUV, secured a huge unionist mandate for this approach and recent polls demonstrated that the vast majority of the unionist electorate remain of the view that it’s a binary choice between power-sharing or the Protocol.”

Mr Bryson continued: “That is why he (Jeffrey) was being cheered as he walked in the Centenary parade. His strong approach, and that of Jim Allister, has galvanised and created a unity within the unionist electorate.

“It is important to maintain this unity and it is for this reason that I think once the Protocol Bill becomes law - hopefully with an amendment to ensure the exercise of all powers going forward to be consistent with the Act of Union - then unionism should go back to the electorate and seek a fresh mandate on the way forward.

“It will make for more stable and durable government if political unionism go back to the electorate with a potential solution on the Protocol, and seek unionism’s endorsement of it.”

He said there were still “some reasonable concerns” about the bill passing currently through Westminster and whether it can remove the Union-threatening aspects of the Protocol.

“It is for this reason that political unionism should go back to the electorate and seek its approval for the way forward,” the loyalist blogger and campaigner said.

Judge refuses to drop the case against suspected UVF dissident Jamie Bryson charged with making a false statement to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) on June 2018.

AN ALLEGEDLY "flawed" Security Industry Authority (SIA) investigation into Jamie Bryson was initiated by a police officer using a fake social media profile, the loyalist activist suggested in court yesterday.

Representing himself at his contest at Downpatrick Magistrates Court, Mr Bryson put to different investigators from the SIA that their investigation of him began when they received a "tip off" from a police officer using a pseudonym on a fake social media platform.

The loyalist blogger is on trial this time charged with making a false statement to the SIA and making a false statement to the body on June 6th 2018 that "JJ Security Services Limited has never traded".

The court has heard that the SIA wrote to Mr Bryson in September 2017 requesting information about JJ Security Services Ltd, a company where he was a named director, as part of an investigation into door staff operating in the north Down area.

In his reply Mr Bryson stated that JJ Security Services Ltd has never traded and he did not hold any relevant information. It is the contention that according to a £450 invoice for "SIA licensed event supervisors" at a bonfire festival in Bangor in 2017, a document created by JJ Security Services, five men were supplied for six hours at a rate of £15 per hour each.

That invoice was seized during searches of three addresses in north Down while the manner in which the search warrants were issued have resulted in a raft of applications before various courts where it was successfully argued the warrants were not lawfully obtained and journalistic material, computers and hard drives seized have all been returned to Mr Bryson.

In the witness box yesterday, an SIA investigator gave evidence that as far as he was concerned, he "made the assumption" that the two companies JJ Security Services Ltd and JJ Security were the same.

Ian Guest agreed that even though they had gone through documents which were "two inches thick" along with other files seized from Mr Bryson including statements from his personal bank accounts, the single invoice was the only thing suggesting that Mr Bryson had been involved in supplying unlicensed security staff.

Lodging an application at the end of the prosecution case for the charges to be dismissed. Mr Bryson argued that "there's absolutely nothing to show that a limited company was trading" so describing the case as fatally flawed.

Refusing to dismiss the charge District Judge Amanda Brady said in her view "there are questions that need to be answered" by the defence.

The case will resume June 29th.

Mass demonstrations will return if no changes are made to the NI Protocol, warns Jamie (pound shop lawyer) Bryson.

Mass protests against the protocol (nationalists must be shitting themselves) will return to NI streets if the Government fail to make changes to the post-Brexit trade deal, suspected dissident loyalist Jamie Bryson has warned. 

Mr Bryson said there was a danger of a "long hot summer" during the marching season if planned alternations to the Protocol are put off this month. 

His comments reflect the concerns of the unionist political leadership who fear that after a bruising no confidence vote Boris Johnson may not be in a position to push through the legislation that would override core elements of the NI protocol. 

"Boris Johnson remains in post largely due to the votes of Brexiteer MP’s  whose support is predicted upon the commitment that the Protocol will be dismantled," Mr Bryson said. 

    An anti-Protocol protest in Markethill,                Co Armagh earlier this year. 

"Those MP’s, who sustain the Prime Minister in position, must squeeze him as hard as possible to ensure that when it comes to the Protocol, the legislation is completely and definitively destructive. 

"Unionism and loyalism have both publicly and privately been made certain promises about the timing and content of the legislation. I would be deeply concerned if it were to be the case those promises would again slip or be put on the long finger." 

He continued: "We are rapidly approaching the marching season and we all want to see a long hot summer of celebration, rather than a long hot summer of discontent. I don't think people understand the depth of feeling and complete commitment to destroying the Protocol in loyalist areas. The self appointed elite do not understand grassroot loyalism. 

"Should legislation fail to transpire in an acceptable or timely fashion then I think peaceful protests will resume on a larger and more intense scale, probably marrying up with some of the largest band parades." Alright now Jamie now the self-appointed elite are really shitting themselves (along with the nationalists). 

On the DUP strategy, Mr Bryson added: "Sir Jeffrey is under no pressure whatsoever, he is being cheered in the streets. He has a mandate for the simple message that it's power sharing or the Protocol, but never both.

"Any legislation must be measured against the DUP's key seven tests, the first of which is the restoration of the Act of Union. That means *orthern Ireland must be removed from the EU single market; nothing less will satisfy that key test."

After brief lull Bryson resumes hostilities towards Beattie over Protocol

LOYALIST Activist Jamie Bryson has launched another salvo of criticism at UUP leader Doug Beattie, effectively re-opening the rift between the two.

The latest protests were organised by North Antrim Amalgamated Orange Committee, in Ballymoney, Co Antrim. 

It came less than 24 hours after Mr Bryson delivered a speech at an anti-Protocol rally in Castlederg, at which he spoke of the valued place the UUP has in the "unionist family". 

The stand-off between Mr Beattie and some anti-Protocol protesters emerged starkly about a month ago. 

Mr Beattie had said he would not attend any of the rolling anti-Protocol protests after a hoax bomb attack by UVF terrorists based on police intelligence. Halted a peace-building conference attended by Irish Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney in north Belfast in late March. 

Mr Beattie went on to say he had "a concern (and rightly so) that these rallies are not just about the protocol - they are turning into anti-Good-Friday-Agreement protests and I am not being associated with that". 

Speaking in Castlederg on Thursday night, Mr Bryson said: "Lest there be any confusion - I want the UUP, and their leader Doug Beattie, who's a decorated military veteran and is deserving of our respect for that aspect of his public service. 

"I want him to join us on these platforms in opposition to the Protocol. This being said on one hand, while being attacked on the other on social media platforms (pictured above) such as Twitter. 

"I want the party of Carson and Craig on these platforms... They are a valued part of the unionist family, and to our family they should return. We need unity, not division."

This tone did not last long. 

On the Nolan Show the other day, Mr Beattie was quizzed about the "dilution of the Act of the Union" by the NI Protocol. 

"The Act of Uuion has been changed many, many times over the years... I don’t think NI’s place in the UK is endangered," said Mr Beattie. 

  Proof posted above proves the fact that  Mr Beattie is correct in his claims over the Protocol and also proves its Mr Bryson is                the one being "idiotic". 

This prompted Mr Bryson to call this view "idiotic". 

Mr Bryson said that the interview "gives rise to serious concerns that the UUP do not actually understand the constitutional issue arising from the Protocol". 

He added: "It is clear the leadership of the UUP have completely lost all grip on constitutional reality and are close to being beyond any redemption."

This according to Mr Bryson who has no mandate to speak on behalf of anyone and when he did stand for election only managed to raise 167 votes (proof posted above). Although he is often seen in the company of known members of the UVF and at times has spoken out in their(UVF) defence. Although he does deny being a member of any terrorist organisation

LOYALIST Activist Jamie (the pound-shop lawyer) Bryson has launched High Court proceedings against Sinn Féin's Michelle O’Neill as part of a vow to wage "legal guerrilla warfare" (that's a new one for the Oxford dictionary) on the NI Protocol.

The wannabe lawyer claims the former Deputy First Minister unlawfully blocked a paper on post-Brexit Irish Sea border checks from the agenda at a Stormont Executive meeting. 

Papers have now been lodged seeking an urgent hearing of his application for leave to apply for an judicial review. 

Mr Bryson also wants an interim order to prohibit any further implementation of the Protocol by civil servents without fully meeting obligations to consider the North of Ireland's place in the UK internal market. 

The case relates to a paper on Brexit Sea Border checks submitted in January by DUP Agricultural Minister Edwin Poots. 

Mr Poots is already facing legal challenges for directing his officials to halt the inspections on goods entering the North of Ireland from Britain amid his party's continued opposition to the NI Protocol. 

The Minister said he had received legal advice that the step could be taken in the absence of wider Executive approval for the checks. 

Those inspections are continuing, however, pending the outcome of the challenges against Mr Poots. 

But in a further development, The legal eagle has commenced legal action against Ms O'Neill and the *orthern Ireland Civil Service. 

His lawyers claim the then Deputy First Minister blocked Mr Poots' paper from getting on the agenda of an Executive meeting on January 27th, depriving him of authority to continue the checks. 

That decision was procedurally flawed and involved a partisan political motive, they contend. 

Legal papers further allege a failure by Ms O'Neill and the Civil Service to discharge duties contained in Section 46 of the Internal Market Act 2020.

Mr Bryson claimed: "There is a plainly arguable case here that Michelle O’Neill acted unlawfully in blocking Minister Poots' paper on Protocol implementation from the Executive agenda."

He confirmed that interim relief is also being sought to potentially stop officials from further implementing the Protocol. 

"This is ongoing on the part of the Civil Service, so we want the court to intervene in the same way it has been willing to intervene to stay Minister Poots' order," he said. 

 We will fight them on the beaches over the                        Brexit Sea Border 

The loyalist activist pledged: "We will (fight them on the beaches) continue to fight legal guerrilla warfare in courts against the Protocol, attacking it from every possible angle. 

"Win or lose, we will keep coming again and again, pursuing legitimate and arguable challenges. The Protocol will never be permitted to embed."
